My First Interview....
My first interview…
Yesterday, I had my first interview on Eatel 4 News, a local fiberedge network. The show taped at 4pm and I was interviewed by Jenny Heroman, a sorority sister and friend from community theater way back! She did a tremendous job with her broadcast and has a great rapport with all of her guests. But, I have to say that as comfortable as I was with Jenny, if it weren’t for Jeanne Burns, my friend and local morning anchor for WAFB News, I would’ve been really nervous. Jeanne graciously gave me some interview pointers and supported me with questions, so that I had the “dear in the headlights” moment on my couch in my living room, not in the studio during the interview! Thanks, Jeanne! Anyway, I felt that the interview went well. Jenny aired a portion of the video and we talked about why we wrote it and the challenges I faced in getting it released. I hope that those who saw the interview were touched and will not only purchase the song so as to further our proceeds to charity, but will also pass the word along to their friends and family! All in all, it was a wonderful experience…a great first interview in a what’s becoming a list of many to come in the next few weeks! Keep watching online for ways that you can view broadcasts in your local area or online! Mostly, thanks for helping us spread the word to those in need, “hold on!”
